One of the most popular trails in the Coconino National Forest, West Fork meanders for several miles alongside (and sometimes through) a canyon creek.

Many hikers explore beyond the end of the maintained trail, which eventually transitions into the creek bed itself. Those willing to wade (and often swim) through this creek can follow it to reach more remote areas within the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness.
